Diamond Care Inc. provides Residential Care Services at our Campus located in French Camp, CA.
The Residential Care Program focuses on providing for not only the essential components for maintaining life or Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) but also delves deeper into the aspects of care that promote Quality of Life or Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). These two focuses establish the basis for The Diamond Standard of Care.
The activities performed in the course of a normal day, such as eating, drinking fluids, using the restroom, dressing, bathing, brushing one’s teeth and moving from one room to another, are called Activities of Daily Living. Scientific studies have shown that the regular, routine performance of ADL not only improve the quality of a person’s life but also help them to live longer.
The activities that add to the Quality of life include the functions that bring each individual to the feelings of well-being, independence, contentedness, and maximizes functional capacity to the highest degree possible. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living are often overlooked in Residential Care Settings – DCI strives to engage each resident’s needs individually to promote a fulfilled and healthy standard of living.
Diamond Care Inc. provides all branches of our services both at the DCI Campus, as well as on location at the homes of clients who live independently.
Ranging from full 24/7 ADL and IADL care to simple cleaning, companionship, and meal prep – The DCI At-Home Care Program can enable our client’s to age in place with dignity and care for as long as possible.
Diamond Care offers a unique, high-quality hospice assistance program. DCI provides compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury. The DCI CRP is a comprehensive set of therapies designed to improve the behavioral health of our clients who suffer from cognitive impairment. It includes relational and adaptive programs, vocational programs, music therapy, technologies, and psychoanalytical therapies designed to enable our clients to be independent for as long as possible.
Our cognitive rehabilitation approach paired with a program of physical exercise has been scientifically shown to improve cognitive function and ability to balance while walking or standing. Improvements in cognition positively influence psychosocial functions, self-esteem, and self confidence.
We use structured, targeted music therapies to encourage and enable our clients to overcome depression and to recover memories. A structured, disciplined approach to music therapy has been shown to decrease depressive symptoms in elderly people more effectively than more passive uses of music, for instance, recreational group singing.
